Week 5 Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Week

In life, it is always good to see a negative event turn into a positive.  This morning on "Elite Day" a negative event quickly turned positive and the decision for Athlete of the Week was made easy.  This week, Trevor Rea is our Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Week. Trevor has increased his squat and bench as well as improved on other areas of his athleticism.  He did a good job in his events at the Reaper Nation Fair and was a good leader.  On Friday, however, after one of our other athletes over slept and missed the conditioning portion of our workout, Trevor voluntarily ran an extra 14 100's so that his teammate was not running alone.  Congrats on your honor this week Trevor and welcome to the Nation.

Great Week to Start July! Standings and Top 10 Posted Sunday

After a great relaxing 4th of July weekend, the Reapers were back in action in the weightroom and on the fields.  The results of the Reaper Nation County Fair will be posted on Sunday night along with this weeks top 10 moments and current point standings.  The Elite day on Friday gave some of our athletes a peek of what Phase 2 of this summer will bring.  Below, our elite day athletes prepare to run one of their 14 100's.

Front row from L-R, John Campbell, Austin Coffin, Trevor Rea, Bernie Niyonzima, Joe Jones, Wes Brown, Abe Carreon, Alan Vega and Luke Campbell's leg. Back Row L-R, Nate Lee, Trent Bowers, Darren Magnotti, Andy Christensen, Ryan Smith, Will Brown, Jesse Melow, and Abby Smith

MIAMI HURRICANES LEGACY

This youtube video features former Miami Hurricane and NFL All-Pro Michael Irvin speaking about the process of becoming a champion and the responsibility that current players have to represent the school for the former players. Welcome to Reaper Strength

Welcome to the official website of the Reaper Summer Strength and Conditioning Program.  This website is intended to keep our athletes up to date on their progress during the summer, to give them motivational videos and sayings, and to praise those athletes who have excelled in this summer's training.

One of our goals is to help our athletes reach their goals athletically.  We also, however, hope to promote a positive environment that will enable these young men and women to grow up to be great spouses, great parents, and great members of society.  Being a Reaper is for life, and the athletes who walk through the doors at Plano High School represent the school for their entire lives.  Many prominent members of Plano's community were once a part of Reaper Athletics.  We want to build a culture that promotes family within our community.  There is a lot of diversity in our community, however, we can all unite around the fact that we are Reapers.  Once we unite, there is nothing that can keep us from achieving our goals.
